LV Home

What do you guys think of this. It might actually be cheaper to go this route then to buy an existing house. I've been looking at these for years and think they're cool. Mary doesn't want neighbors, and we could throw one of these down on a nice wooded lot. There is a couple different models, a garage, and guest house. Check them out and let me know what you think.

I wonder if it would cost a buttload to heat it in a WI winter because of all those windows.

Looking at the website testimonials, the one from WI had problems with the windows due to some WI building code.

They do look cool though. Unique.

And neighbors provide warmth and friendship, and even some sugar or flour if you were to be baking and run out.

I am not to sure about these things. I will ask around the real estate peeps and see what they think about them. Now what I think you two should do is buy one of these things put it on a large plot of land and pay the land off then build a nice house on the land in awhile. A lot of people do that out here I do not know the market in Madison but in Garrison MT you can get 60 acres for 120,000. I assume that Madison would be a whole lot more expensive. But if you go a little ways out of town you may be able to find a deal.

Definitely see the possiblities of the walkout basement one in NY, in the state of WI; provided you get a southern exposure. Really think that it will come down to you doing a couple of home shows and finding a contractor that can build it.
